The payment request will stay active on Betalink indefinitely as long as they aren't paid, marked as sold, removed by Betalink, or removed by the person who created the request.
There are private and public requests. A private requests requires the user to provide the e-mail addresses of the persons who should pay something back. A public requests allows the user to create a link which can be shared to others. Anybody with access to this link can make a payment.
A request can be cancelled as long as nobody has made a payment.
When in a private request every person who a payment has been requested to has paid, then the due amount will be transferred to IBAN bank account information which was provided during the creation of the request.
When the person who created the link closes the public link, then the due amount will be transferred to IBAN bank account information which was provided during the creation of the request.
The overview page offers an overview of who has paid and who has not. This information is purely informative, since it also relies on what information requestees have provided. Betalink offers absolutely no guarantees that this information is correct.
Paying a payment link
You may only make a payment to a private payment request link, if the link is intended for you.
Each payment amount is the sum of the original amount, and transaction processing fees which are to be paid by the payee of the link.
It's possible to mark the payment request as paid outside of Betalink. This will notify the person who has created the request that the requestee has marked the request paid outside of Betalink. It's still possible to make a payment if this option is selected.
Once a request link is paid, it's no longer possible to make another payment on the same link.
